Video: Packers' Charles Woodson Punches Saints' David Thomas in the Crotch

In the opening game of the NFL season last night, the Green Bay Packers defeated the New Orleans Saints 42-34. In the third quarter, Packers defensive back Charles Woodson got a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after getting  into a scuffle with Saints tight end David Thomas and punching him in the crotch.

Thomas and Woodson were blocking each other on the running play.  As the whistle blew, it appeared that Thomas got an extra shove on Woodson, which seemed to prompt the punch.

Just a reminder, kids:  hitting before the whistle is OK, but once the whistle blows, the play is over.  Also, punching is not acceptable at any time...especially to the crotch.  Woodson will probably get a fine from the NFL once they look at the tape.
