Cardinals' Early Doucet Falls Down In End Zone While Wide Open For Game-Tying Touchdown (Video)

In the fourth quarter of today's NFL game in Cincinnati, the Bengals had a 23-16 lead against the Arizona Cardinals, but the Cardinals were driving with under two minutes left. The Cardinals were down to their final play, with a 4th and 5 on the Cincinnati 17-yard line.

The Bengals had a broken coverage and Cardinals receiver Early Doucet found himself wide open heading for the end zone, and Cardinals quarterback John Skelton threw the ball in the perfect spot. Unfortunately, the unthinkable happened.

Doucet didn't drop the ball for a wide open touchdown. Instead, Doucet fell down and never even got the chance to catch the ball.

Doucet found himself so wide open that as he turned towards Skelton for the ball, he was actually backpedalling towards the end zone. Doucet stumbled as he tried to turn towards the ball, and the ball landed in the spot where Doucet would have probably caught the game-tying touchdown.

The play wrapped up the win for the Bengals and killed any remaining hope of the Cardinals making the playoffs.
