The third round Australian Open tennis match between Gael Monfils and Mikhail Kukushkin was interrupted when a giant autograph ball was thrown from the stands and hit the real tennis ball on the court during live play. The timing could not have been worse, as it was the final game of the fifth set.
Monfils ended up losing the game and the match, and could not have been happy with the interruption. In the end, we don't know if it affected the actual outcome, but we do know that the fan's behavior was over the line, and hopefully the fan was ejected from the facilities.
