Today is rapper MC Hammer's 50th birthday. Hammer (a.k.a. Stanley Burrell) grew up in Oakland and was a ballboy for the Oakland Athletics from 1973 to 1980. In honor of his 50th birthday, the Oakland A's posted a photo of Hammer from his days as the team ballboy on the team Twitter account.
He's come a long way since then. Happy birthday, MC Hammer.
