An aerial camera drone flew into a tree during a live overhead shot of the green at Hole 2 of LIV Golf Hong Kong, creating a hilarious moment for viewers.
It happened as Spanish pro Sergio Garcia was lining up on the green to take his second shot on the par-3 second hole. Viewers at home were treated to a live overhead shot of the green, creating a spectacular view...for a few seconds.
It was beautiful while it lasted - until the view was swallowed up by leaves and branches that completely swallowed up the view of the green below. Behind the scenes, the director had to bail out of that shot and switch to a camera on the edge of the green with Garcia lining up his shot. As luck would have it, Garcia turned his head as he was disturbed by the noise from the tree that the drone became caught in.

We hope that the broadcast crew is able to recover that drone. Hopefully it doesn't fall out of the tree and break into pieces. The course microphones are already targets for golfers to release their frustrations.
As for Garcia, he finished the first round at 7-under, tied with three others for third overall and three strokes behind leader Carlos Ortiz. We don't foresee him have
