Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol gave Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka a light tap in the groin near the end of Saturday night's NBA playoff game as they got tangled up during a Kobe Bryant foul shot.
With 1:09 left in the fourth quarter, Bryant made a free throw to give the Lakers a 93-92 lead. As the ball was in the air, Ibaka basically wrapped up Gasol with both arms and boxed him out of position for a rebound. However, Ibaka wasn't trying to be rough, as Gasol and Ibaka know each other from playing basketball in Spain. After having a quick chat, Gasol gave Ibaka a 'bad touch'. Talk about awkward.
ESPN commentator Mike Breen mentioned that Gasol and Ibaka are good pals. I have close friends, too, but I don't let them do that. I guess everybody's different.
