Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera managed to score a run on a "Little League homer" thanks to two throwing errors by the Colorado Rockies on the play during the fifth inning of Saturday's game at Comerica Park.
The ground ball bounced off the glove of Christian Friedrich and towards third base. Friedrich chased it down, but made a bad throw to first, which allowed Cabrera to keep running.
Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario chased down the ball in foul territory and threw the ball to third. Friedrich was covering third after Cabrera made it there standing up, but bobbled the throw and let the ball roll away, allowing Cabrera to score. Rosario was given credit with the second error on the play.
The Rockies lost the game 4-1.
