Brian Dozier loses track of outs, gets doubled off first (Video)

Minnesota Twins shortstop Brian Dozier lost track of the number of outs and got himself doubled off first base during Saturday's game in Arlington against the Texas Rangers.

In the top of the second with one out and Dozier on first, Twins batter Jamey Carroll flied out to Rangers center fielder Craig Gentry. However, since Dozier ran to second on the play, apparently thinking there were two outs, that gave the Rangers an easy double play as Gentry threw to first baseman Michael Young for the third out to end the inning.

The double play ended a 2-run rally for the Twins, and the Rangers won the game by a run in the bottom of the tenth.

Let this be another lesson for the kids at home: Always keep track of the outs.
