Fan at Padres game hit by foul ball while using cell phone to update Facebook page (Video)

A fan was hit by a foul ball while sitting in his seat at Petco Park during Friday night's San Diego Padres game, and he later admitted he didn't see the ball coming because he was too busy using his cell phone to update his Facebook page.

Travis Decker was sitting in the second deck when he was hit in the shoulder by a foul ball off the bat of Padres center fielder Will Venable. Decker could be seen using his drink to ice down his shoulder, and later stadium staff brought him an ice pack.

In an interview with FOX Sports in the middle of the fourth inning, Decker admitted he was trying to post to Facebook that he was at the Padres game. Apparently the word got around to his friends anyway after he was seen on TV getting hit by the ball. Decker admitted to being a little sore, but he was a good sport during the interview.

Let this be a lesson to the kids (and adults) at home: Using your cell phone for texting while at the ball park can be dangerous, so stay alert.
