A man is likely to be in the doghouse at home for quite some time after bailing on his wife to get out of the way of a flying bat, leaving her to fend for herself, during Monday's Los Angeles Angels game in Anaheim.It happened in the top of the second inning as Houston Astros batter J.D. Martinez lost the grip of his bat as he fouled a ball toward into the first base stands. As the bat went flying toward the third base stands, the man got up from his seat and headed towards the aisle, leaving his wife in her seat with the bat coming at her.
Fortunately she was OK as the bat flew just over hear head into some empty seats in the second row, but this man is going to have some trouble explaining his way out of this one.
