Torii Hunter nearly hit by HR ball thrown back onto field (Video)

Detroit Tigers right fielder Torii Hunter was able to avoid being hit by a home run ball thrown back onto the field, by one of his own fans, during Thursday's game at Comerica Park.

After Chicago White Sox batter Alejandro de Aza hit a home run into the right field stands in the top of the eighth, the fan decided on making the popular move of throwing a home run ball hit by the opposing team back onto the field. However, the fan threw it a little too close to Hunter, missing him by no more than a couple of feet. Fortunately Hunter was alert and able to get out of the way to avoid being hit on the bounce.

Just a perfect example of why throwing home run balls back onto the field is not a great idea.
