Adrian Beltre tries escaping rundown by running into left field (Video)

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre was involved in a hilarious moment on the basepaths during Sunday's game when he tried to escape a rundown by running towards left field.

Adrian Beltre avoids rundown by running to left field
Beltre doubled to lead off the top of the ninth inning, but was caught in no-man's land when he tried to advance on a grounder to third by Alex Rios. The Astros executed the rundown between 3B Matt Dominguez, 2B Jose Altuve and shortstop Jake Elmore making the tag at third. Beltre knew he was caught, but pulled a desparation move straight out of Little League by running towards left field to try and avoid the tag from Elmore. Naturally Beltre knew he was going to be called out anyway for that, and had a good laugh with the umpire afterwards.

After the rundown, the Rangers were able to score four runs in the ninth to win a comfortable 6-1 victory.
