Darren Helm scores shorthanded goal after flipping over Islanders goalie (Video)

Detroit Red Wings center Darren Helm scored an entertaining shorthanded goal as he flipped over New York Islanders goaltender Kevin Poulin on a breakaway during Friday's game in Long Island.

Helm was able to outrace Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald for the puck as he tried to stop the breakaway. Unbelievably, MacDonald collided with Poulin and also flipped on his back.

Fortunately, all three players were OK. Helm's goal was his second of the game on the way to a 5-0 rout of the Islanders.
