Blake Griffin sinks lucky shot off top of backboard (Video)

Blake Griffin lucky shot
Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin made a lucky shot that bounced twice off the top of the backboard before falling into the net during the final minutes of Saturday night's game against Utah.

It happened with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter as Griffin drew the foul on Jazz defender Marvin Williams about five feet from the basket, then threw up the prayer. As everyone watched, the ball went straight up to the top of the backboard, bounced twice, and then dropped through the net for the bucket. Griffin reacted very calmly to the incredible circus shot (as if that's how he planned it) and followed it up by making the foul shot to complete the three-point play.

We're used to seeing Griffin throw down high-flying dunks, so this was definitely a change of pace. Can't help but wonder how many times it would take for Griffin to make that shot again.

The play put the exclamation point on Griffin's night, as he scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Clips' 102-87 victory over the Jazz.
