Spurs mascot loses his eyes after taking a charge from Aaron Brooks (Video)

The San Antonio Spurs mascot "The Coyote" lost his eyes after taking a charge from Denver Nuggets guard Aaron Brooks during the late stages of Tuesday night's game at the AT&T Center.

With just under 1:40 left in the fourth quarter, Brooks chased a loose ball out of bounds behind the Spurs basket. Brooks knocked the basketball into The Coyote's face, then braced the Spurs mascot to slow himself down and keep his balance. The Coyote lost his balance after taking the charge and as he fell to the ground, his eyes came detached, leaving him understandably disoriented.

Fortunately, the eyes were easily reattached to the costume, and The Coyote was able to watch the rest of the Spurs' 108-103 victory.
