Braves fan makes fantastic foul ball grab (Video)

Braves fan snags foul ball, Marlins vs. Braves, 8/7/2025

An Atlanta Braves fan made an amazing catch of a foul ball during Thursday night's game against Miami.

It happened in the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs and runners on second and third as the Braves had already scored 3 runs in the inning to cut the Marlins lead to 6-5. On the 1-1 count, Braves batter Jonathan Ornelas hit a fly ball deep towards left field. Ornelas hit it hard enough to land in the mezzanine of the left field stands, but he was a bit ahead of the pitch so it stayed foul all the way.

However, a Braves fan in the fourth row of the mezzanine happened to be in the right place at the right time. He reached back with his left hand and caught the ball with his bare hand while holding onto his cell phone with his right hand. The fan tossed the ball to a kid nearby.

It's been a while since we have seen a fan make an impressive grab of a foul ball. Somebody find this guy and give him a contract.

Ornelas ended up grounding out to third to end the inning. However, the Braves scored two runs in the seventh inning and one in the eighth to beat the Marlins 8-6.
