Justin Upton's broken bat earns him infield single (Video)

Atlanta Braves left fielder Justin Upton earned an infield single in the sixth inning of Friday night's game against Colorado thanks to his broken bat getting in the way of the ball.

Upton hit a regular grounder to short, but Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki had to take an extra step to his right to avoid the barrel of Upton's bat. Tulowitzki made a great throw to first, but it was a step too late.

As the announcers pointed out, that's why you need to hustle down the line, because weird things happen and you just never know.
