Nicolas Mahut congratulated by reporter after losing French Open match (Video)

French tennis pro Nicolas Mahut was involved in an awkward exchange with a reporter during his post-match press conference after losing his first round match at the French Open against Mikhail Kukushkin when the reporter actually congratulated him.

The English portion of the Q and A began with the clueless reporter saying "Congratulations." It certainly wasn't something that Mahut was expecting to hear, to say the least.
Mahut: "Congratulations? I lost."
Reporter: "You lost? Oh. Okay...So, what happened out there?"
Mahut: "Are you serious? Did you watch the match?"
Reporter: "No, I didn't. I was told that you won. I'm sorry."

To close the exchange, Mahut simply stated "Questions in French, please." A subtle way for calling out the unidentified reporter for being very bad at his job.
