Adam Jones knocks down umpire while heading for second (Video)

Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones accidentally knocked over the first base umpire as he headed for second on a throwing error during Saturday's game against Toronto.

In the fifth inning, Jones hit a grounder to third, but the throw to first by Blue Jays third baseman Juan Francisco hit the dirt and got away. The error allowed Jones to head for second, but as he made the turn, he accidentally stepped on the foot of first base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt, who was backpedaling out of the basepath but just wasn't fast enough.

The trip caused Wendelstedt to lose his balance and fall backwards, and he hit his head on the dirt pretty hard, but fortunately he appeared to be OK afterwards.
