Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander and girlfriend Kate Upton are apparently hockey fans, as they attended Thursday night's Vancouver Canucks playoff Game 5 against Calgary.
Verlander is still recovering from a triceps strain, and it looks like he's used the time out of the spotlight to grow a massive beard. Verlander may as well call himself Grizzly Adams now. Seriously, just look at that thing:
As for the Canucks, they beat the Flames 2-1 to keep their series alive, so maybe Verlander and Upton brought some good luck.
