J.P. Howell tumbles off mound attempting to cover first (Video)

J.P. Howell took a tumble off the mound while attempting to cover first base during a sixth inning groundout which wrapped up his relief appearance in Wednesday's Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Chicago Cubs.

Howell made a spin move to get himself turned toward first base, but lost his footing and found himself falling flat on the grass. The grounder was hit straight to Adrian Gonzalez at first, so the faceplant by Howell was all for nothing.

When Howell returned to the dugout, Yasiel Puig helped him cool down by fanning him with a towel.
