Brett Gardner loses fly ball in sun vs Baltimore (Video)

Brett Gardner made the American League All-Star team this year, but the New York Yankees left fielder had some trouble with a fly ball during Thursday's game against Baltimore as he was blinded by the sun.

It happened in the fourth inning as Gardner was in position to catch what seemed to be a routine fly ball to left field by Orioles batter Chris Davis. However, Gardner was battling the sun the whole way, and he never saw the ball until it hit behind him on the warning track.

The ball bounced behind him for a ground rule double, but it didn't impact the final outcome as Davis didn't come around to score.

Gardner's not the first MLB player to lose a fly ball in the sun and he certainly won't be the last.
