Padres fan splattered with salsa when foul ball lands in nachos (Video)

A San Diego Padres fan was splattered with salsa when a foul ball bounced right in his nachos during Tuesday night's game against Texas.

Rangers batter Will Venable hit a foul ball that bounced on the warning track near the third base stands and right into the fan's lap in the third row. The Padres fan saw the ball coming at the last minute and tried to react, but wasn't fast enough to protect himself, or his nachos.

Fortunately for the fan, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Just ask this Rangers fan who was on the receiving end of a cheese explosion when a Prince Fielder foul ball landed in her nachos. And is it just dumb luck that both of these incidents involved Texas Rangers players, or is it more than a coincidence?

This is just another argument for why major league baseball needs protective netting. That Padres fan probably spent a lot of money for those nachos, and we hate to see that money and food go to waste.
