Keith Hernandez was a bit embarrassed when his cell phone began to ring during Wednesday's spring training game against the New York Yankees.
It happened in the top of the fourth inning. The ring tone sounded similar to the alert tone that you normally hear on many sports channels for a breaking news alert. Naturally, Hernandez's broadcast partners gave him a good ribbing about it.
After the second ring, Hernandez decided it was time to turn the phone off. Needless to say, it should have been turned off in the first place, or at least put on vibrate mode.
