With about 4:57 left in the 3rd quarter, and the New York Jets leading the Houston Texans 13-7, the Jets lined up for a 3rd down play when the referees stopped the game as a fan from the stands went onto the field at the New Meadowlands. The CBS coverage clearly shows a fan in a red sweater running across the middle of the screen from left to right, being chased by a New Jersey state trooper (click on this link via Youtube to see it) . As they panned out to the camera shot from the top of the stadium, you could see about 10-15 security guards surrounding the fan as they prepared to lead him off the field, and presumably into jail.
This link of extended CBS footage via Youtube isn't as clear, but clearly shows several shots of the Jets sideline, including head coach Rex Ryan and some players getting a big laugh out of it.
Apparently the fan didn't get the message that you're not supposed to go onto the field at any time, especially during the game, so hopefully he'll be spending the night in jail and no one will be trying to imitate this guy.
Ironically, on the very next play, Mark Sanchez connected with Santonio Holmes for a Jets touchdown to break the game open with a 20-7 lead.
