Florida Panthers' Minor League Team Invites Dogs To The Game (Video)

The Florida Panthers' minor league affiliate, the AHL's San Antonio Rampage, held Pucks and Paws night this past Saturday, where they asked fans to bring their dogs to the game.

The reason: The Rampage was trying to set a Guinness World Record for the greatest number of dogs ever assembled to watch a live sporting event.

Here's some video footage of the festivities:

According to team officials, 842 dogs attended the event. The Rampage won, 5-1, and 25 dogs were adopted that night, so that's a good thing.

However, it may take some time to get official confirmation as to whether this was actually a world record. With all the effort that the Rampage folks put into holding this event, let's hope so for their sake.
