North Dakota Player Starts Fight In Handshake Line After Loss To Minnesota (Video)

There was a lot of pushing and shoving in the third period of Saturday night's NCAA hockey game between Minnesota and North Dakota. However, after the game ended and Minnesota closed out a 6-2, UND's Ben Blood took things too far by pushing Minnesota's Kyle Rau in the postgame handshake line.

Rau's teammate Kyle Ambroz came to his defense and tied up Ben Blood, and at that point both coaches had to stop the handshake line and send the players to the locker rooms.

People, once the game is over, it's over. Regardless of what happened during the game, once the game is over, you shake hands with the opponent, wish them good luck, and move on. It's called sportsmanship, and it's a valuable life lesson. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but you have to learn how to handle winning and losing the right way.

Ben Blood did not handle the situation well. Hopefully he will be given the appropriate punishment and learn from this.
