Chicago mayor calls Blackhawks Stanley Cup victory the 'Miracle on Ice' (Video)

Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel may have gotten a little carried away during some interviews held during Friday's victory parade celebrating the Chicago Blackhawks winning the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

There's no denying that the Blackhawks comeback in Monday's Game 6 of the NHL Finals may be one of the greatest moments in Chicago sports history, as they scored 2 goals within 17 seconds in the final 1:16 of the game. However, Emanuel seemed a bit overzealous by going so far as to say that those 17 seconds will now forever be known as the "Miracle on Ice".

Emanuel seems to have forgotten the true "Miracle on Ice", the USA victory over the USSR in the 1980 Olympics on the way to the gold medal. If Emanuel wants to call this "Chicago's Miracle on Ice", then so be it, but it would seem he made a poor choice of words, to say the least.
