Nevada senator Harry Reid rips USC football (Video)

Nevada senator Harry Reid took some unprovoked shots at the USC football program during his Monday appearance at the Center for American Progress.

Reid was fielding a question from a member of the audience who identified himself as a student of the University of Southern California. Before the man finished his question, Reid interrupted him by saying "I hope you have a better football team than last year. That was a disaster."

Reid was accurate with that assessment, as USC finished with an extremely disappointing 7-6 record after starting the season as the top-ranked team in the nation. Reid returned to the subject later on by saying "That proves you can’t buy college football players."
