Derrick Rose leaves game after injuring right knee (Video)

Chicago Bulls fans are holding their collective breath as guard Derrick Rose left Friday night's game against Portland with an injury to his right knee.

It happened in the third quarter when Rose planted to get back on defense after a pass to Rose was stolen while making a cut to the basket. There was no contact on the play, but the Bulls had to take a timeout with 3:20 left in the third to take Rose out of the game as he was unable to put any weight on his right knee.

Rose missed the entire 2012-13 NBA season recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee, and the Bulls championship hopes for this season were based on the optimism of Rose's triumphant return. Now, Bulls fans once again find themselves bracing for the worst as Rose undergoes an MRI on Saturday.
