Blazers announcer calls Oklahoma City Thunder a 'Texas team' (Video)

Portland Trail Blazers television analyst analyst Mike Rice had an embarrassing snafu when he called the Oklahoma City Thunder a "Texas team" during Tuesday night's game at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

It happened after Damian Lillard drained a three-pointer to tie the game with 3 seconds left in regulation, sending the game into overtime. The basket came on virtually the same in-bounds play which Lillard scored the game-winning basket in Game 6 of their playoff series against Houston last season. When play-by-play man Mike Barrett made the connection, Rice got a bit too excited and lost his grasp on geography:
Barrett: "Same play, wasn't it?"
Rice: "It's a Texas team, a different one, but that's the Lillard shot!"
Barrett: "Well we’re close to Texas anyway, I know what your point is."
Rice: "Oh, yeah, well, Oklahoma, Texas..."
Talk about your broadcasting bloopers.  That's a pretty strange mistake to make, especially considering the Thunder plays in Oklahoma City. Although if you consider that Kansas City is in Missouri, maybe this isn't as embarrassing as it seems...
