Dominik Hasek honored by Sabres with jersey retirement ceremony (Video)

The Buffalo Sabres honored former goaltender Dominik Hasek by retiring his jersey prior to Tuesday night's game against Detroit at the First Niagara Center. "The Dominator" looked on from center ice as a banner with his name and jersey number 39 was raised to the rafters.

Hasek had the best years of his career during his nine seasons in Buffalo, winning the Vezina Trophy six times as the NHL's best goaltender and the Hart Memorial Trophy twice as the NHL's Most Valuable Player. Longtime Sabres fans would agree that the honor for Hasek is well deserved.
