Brett Burns pass cracks glass near Islanders bench (Video)

San Jose Sharks defenseman Brett Burns cracked a pane of glass near the New York Islanders bench with a hard pass during the third period of Tuesday night's NHL game at the Barclays Center.

Burns was attempting a pass to teammate Joe Thornton, but it went a bit high and wide. Thornton was able to tip it with a high stick, but there was no way he could control it, and the puck ended up cracking a curved pane of glass on the side of the Islanders bench.

If that's how hard Burns passes the puck, you can only imagine how hard he shoots it.

The game was allowed to continue without replacing the pane of glass, as it was not directly facing the ice surface. In the end, Burns was the Number 1 star of the game with 2 assists as the Sharks beat the Islanders 3-2.
