Ole Miss men's basketball coach Kermit Davis was given a technical foul for tossing his jacket on the ground in reaction to a foul call that went against his team in the closing seconds of Wednesday night's SEC conference loss to 7th-ranked Tennessee.

Ole Miss was trying to run the length of the floor with 4.3 seconds left while down 72-71. Devontae Shuler took the inbounds pass, crossed halfcourt and attempted a running 3-pointer from 30 feet away. Tennessee senior guard Admiral Schofield stood his ground while Shuler leaned into him as he took the shot. The officials blew the whistle with 1.1 seconds left and called the offensive foul on Shuler.

In our opinion, the refs made the right call. Davis did not agree, and expressed his sentiment by taking his jacket off and throwing it on the floor.

The officials immediately gave the technical to Davis, and Tennessee went 1-for-2 on the ensuing free throws to close out the win 73-71. Ole Miss had a 5-point lead at halftime but couldn't hold on for the upset.
