Washington Nationals starter Max Scherzer pulled some trickery during the ceremonial puck drop at Friday night's Washington Capitals game against the New York Rangers.
The Caps fans gave Scherzer a well-deserved hand as the Nationals won the National League pennant for the first time. Scherzer came out to center ice with the ceremonial puck while wearing a customized Capitals jersey with his name and number on it.
When it came to dropping the puck, Scherzer hit it behind his back and pulled out a baseball.
Scherzer seemed to bring the Capitals some good luck as they beat the Rangers 5-2.
