CBS broadcasters took a playful jab at the University of Iowa football program's propensity for punting during Sunday's NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
It happened at the 9:20 mark of the second quarter with the Colts leading 17-6. The Colts had 4th and 5 on their own 45-yard line and decided to punt. It was the first time this season that Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez lined up to punt this season, as the Colts did not punt the ball at all in their first two games of the season.
To bring light to the rarity of the situation, the broadcast team of Tom McCarthy and Ross Tucker had some fun with pointing out the lack of punts by the Colts so far this year, using Iowa to illustrate their point:
Iowa caught a stray when the #Colts punted for the first time this season:

Tucker: "Check out Iowa football."
Iowa has become known in recent seasons for being very conservative on offense, leading to punting more frequently than most college football teams.
Sanchez had a solid punt of 46 yards, with the Titans calling for a fair catch. As it happens, it ended up being his only punt of the day as the Colts held the Titans in check to win the game 41-20. The Colts are undefeated after three games and they should continue to be competitive in the weeks to come as long as they avoid making careless mistakes.
