Predators broadcasters crack up after F-bombs captured on hot mic (Video)

Fanduel Sports Network South television broadcasters Willy Daunic and Chris Mason broke out in hysterics during Saturday's Nashville Predators game against Utah when some loud F-bombs were dropped by someone on the ice and captured on a hot mic.

With Winter Storm Fern bringing heavy snow and ice into the Nashville area, the opening face-off was moved two hours earlier and only 6,159 fans attended the game at Bridgestone Arena. That contributed to the lower noise levels in the arena, making it easier to hear the players on the ice.

That sets up the scenario that played out just after the 11:00 mark in the first period with the Predators holding a 1-0 lead over the Mammoth. Someone on the ice, presumably one of the players, became very upset about an apparent high stick that was not called. As the Predators were called for an offsides at the 11:13 mark, that unnamed person dropped a few F-bombs that were captured clearly on the hot mic, causing Daunic and Mason to laugh and temporarily lose control of the broadcast.

We haven't heard F-bombs that loud during an NHL broadcast since Rob Ray took a puck to the face at rinkside last year.

As far as who dropped the F-bombs, there is some speculation that it was Jonathan Marchessault, but we have not independently verified this. We also do not have video of the alleged high stick that sent the player into a rage.

Although the Predators held the 1-0 lead through the rest of the first period, the Mammoth took over in the second and came away with the 5-2 victory, extending their winning streak to 5 games.
