Dallas Stars left winger Adam Erne scored a strange goal during Monday night's game in Vancouver with the help of a lucky bounce off the boards.
It happened at the 17:40 mark of the first period with the Canucks holding a 1-0 lead. After taking the pass from teammate Colin Blackwell in the neutral zone, Erne crossed the blue line and shot the puck into the boards behind the Canucks net. The puck ricocheted into the back of Canucks goaltender Nikita Tolopilo's leg and bounced into the net, tying the game at 1-1.
The puck takes a weird hop off the boards and the game is tied.

It almost seems unfair when someone scores a goal with a lucky bounce, but that's part of the game.
The Stars would keep that momentum going as they scored five more goals while keeping the Canucks off the board the rest of the way. Dallas won the game 6-1 and extended their winning streak to nine games.
