Video: Women's Professional Soccer Game Delayed By Squirrel

The Women's Professional Soccer championship game in Rochester, New York today was delayed by a squirrel who ran onto the field in the first half and wouldn't leave.

There appeared to be something wrong with the squirrel based on its crazy/strange behavior, as it literally ran in a small circle over and over in the middle of Philadelphia Independence goalkeeper Nicole Barnhardt's penalty box.  Eventually security placed a cardboard box over it so they could slide the squirrel off the field, but the delay resulted in eight minutes of stoppage time being added to the end of the first half.

In the end, the Western New York Flash defeated the Philadelphia Independence in a penalty shootout to win the WPS championship.
