Video: Michael Boley Scores Touchdown, Throws Football In Cameraman Assistant's Face

New York Giants linebacker Michael Boley scored a touchdown on a 65-yard fumble recovery in tonight's Monday Night Football game against the St. Louis Rams.

To celebrate the touchdown, Boley promptly threw the football right in an unsuspecting cameraman assistant's face. The ball then bounced directly into the back of the head of the cameraman.

Watch video of the play here, as Rams quarterback Sam Bradford throws a lateral pass that running back Cadillac Williams drops. However, since the ball was thrown behind the line of scrimmage and stayed in bounds, the ball was still live. Giants linebacker Michael Boley was alert enough to pick up the free ball and race for the end zone.

After Boley scored the touchdown, he decided to throw the ball against the wall in the back of the end zone. Somehow he didn't see the cameraman and his assistant right in front of him (maybe he was temporarily blinded by his excitement from scoring?). Boley ends up drilling the cameraman's assistant right in the face with the ball.

The ball then ricocheted directly into the back of the cameraman, who seemed completely unphased by it (obviously his assistant took the brunt of it). The cameraman kept on shooting as if nothing happened.

Michael Boley seemed to have no idea after throwing the football that it hit someone in the face, as he continued to celebrate with the crowd and his teammates. Pretty impressive accuracy on Boley's part...hitting two guys in the head with one throw.

UPDATE 9/20/11:  The person that was hit was identified by the NY Daily News as a New York Giants video intern named Ryan Brown, who said after the game that he was fine.
