David Ortiz leaves batter's box before ball four arrives (Video)

Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz didn't have time to wait for ball four to arrive at home plate before leaving the batter's box in a curious move during the seventh inning of Tuesday night's game against the Chicago Cubs.

Cubs pitcher Neil Ramirez wasn't going to take a chance on giving Big Papi a pitch to hit with two outs in a 1-1 tie. Ramirez threw all of his pitches away from Ortiz on the outside corner, so even though Ortiz may have had a green light on the 3-0 pitch, he knew he probably wouldn't get a pitch to hit. Still, it was a bit strange to watch Ortiz begin to leave the batter's box before the ball was even delivered. Imagine his embarrassment if the pitch was a strike.
