Mariners fan throws popcorn bucket at foul ball, hilarity ensues (GIF)

A Seattle Mariners fan made an embarrassing attempt to knock a foul ball out of the air by tossing a bucket of popcorn at it during the seventh inning of Saturday's game against Minnesota.

Naturally, the fan had no chance of catching the ball, but he did manage to make it rain popcorn all over the nearby fans.

What he should have been doing was trying to catch the ball with the popcorn bucket, like this Mariners fan. At least he would have had a shot at it.
