Paul Goldschmidt fouls ball destroys Giants fan's full tray of food and beer (Video)

Giants fan loses tray of food

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt hit a foul ball that wiped out a San Francisco Giants fan's full tray of food and beer during Saturday's MLB game at AT&T Park.

It happened in the first inning as Goldschmidt hit a foul popup into the seats on the right field side. A woman held up her tray of food and beer, possibly thinking she could use it to catch the baseball. Big mistake.

Not only did she not come away with the baseball, but in the end she had nothing to show for it but an empty tray. Everything on it, including a full cup of beer and some french fries, spilled onto the floor.

The television announcers laughed, but we feel bad because we know she spent a lot of money on that food and beer. Especially the beer.
