LeBron James misses breakaway tomahawk dunk (Video)

LeBron James inexplicably missed a breakaway tomahawk dunk in the third quarter of Tuesday night's Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals against Boston.

It happened in the third quarter as the Celtics held a 69-68 lead. Kevin Love grabbed the defensive rebound and threw the perfect full-court pass to James, who beat the Celtics defense down the court. James wound his arm back as if he were preparing to tear down the rim with a slam, and the hometown Cleveland fans were ready to explode in anticipation of the Cavaliers taking the lead.

Instead, this happened:

This may be the most powerful missed dunk we've ever seen. Naturally, everyone was stunned, as you don't see bloopers like this too often, especially from one of the best NBA players of all time. It just goes to show that nobody's perfect.

James still finished the game with 34 points to lead the Cavs in scoring as they defeated the Celtics 112-99 to take a 3-1 series lead, so it should be easy for him to put this play behind him.

H/T FTW.
