Fan at Padres-Cubs game catches two home runs (Video)

A fan sitting in the front row of the outfield seats at Wrigley Field caught two home run balls during Wednesday's Chicago Cubs game against the San Diego Padres, including the walk-off game winning home run by Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney.

The fan, who brought a glove to the game and appeared to be wearing a red Clint Dempsey Nike soccer jersey, caught the first home run ball in the third inning hit by Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin. He reached to his left to catch the ball, but decided to throw it back. (He did not get ejected from the stadium, unlike an unlucky fan at Coors Field did earlier this month.)

Then, in the bottom of the ninth, Barney hit his walk-off home run with two outs and a man on first to win the game for the Cubs 8-6. A group of fans converged near the front row to try to catch the ball, but the same fan reached up with his glove and came down with it again. We don't have confirmation, but we're pretty sure that the fan kept the ball this time.

Amazingly, this is the second time in a span of 10 games that a fan has caught two home run balls during the same game. In fact, the lucky Cincinnati Reds fan caught two home run balls in the same inning, but he decided to give both of them away.
