Chick-fil-A restaurant makes joke about Cleveland Browns (Photo)

The restaurant chain Chick-fil-A closes all of its stores on Sundays, but one of their owners used that fact and turned it into a clever joke about the Cleveland Browns.

Chick-fil-A like the Browns we take Sundays off

The sign outside the store was changed to read: LIKE THE BROWNS, WE TAKE SUNDAYS OFF. No word yet if this restaurant was located near Pittsburgh, or whether this sign represents the views of the entire Chick-fil-A chain.

UPDATE: Thanks to some readers who brought to our attention that this Chick-fil-A location appears to be the one on Dressler Road in North Canton, Ohio. This seems to match our research, which shows Ruby Tuesday's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kohl's and Target nearby, as they appear in background signs. The dead giveaway, however, was the surprise we found when we pulled up the sign for that restaurant in Google Maps Street View:

Chick-fil-A Chief Wahoo

The picture is not quite as clear, but the sign reads: CHIEF WAHOO NEEDS BOVINE INTERVENTION! Seems like the same sense of humor in play here. This would seem to back our theory that the Browns message reflects the feelings of one individual store owner (or manager) and not the views of the Chick-fil-A franchise as a whole.

It has also been pointed out by some readers that the sign dissing the Browns could be a couple of years old. That is certainly plausible. We will try to find out more as this story evolves.
