St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright and catcher Yadier Molina had some miscommunication that caused them to let an infield popup drop between them during the second inning of Wednesday night's Game 1 of the 2013 World Series.

Wainwright and Molina let infield fly drop

Red Sox batter Stephen Drew led off the inning with the infield popup near the pitcher's mound. Wainwright appeared to call for it by putting his arms out. Drew was awarded a single on the play, which opened the door for a 2-run Red Sox rally. As of this writing, the Sox have a 5-0 lead over the Cardinals in the bottom of the fifth. It's safe to say this is not the way the Cardinals wanted to start out the series.
