Late night host Jimmy Kimmel held a special World Cup edition of his recurring "Lie Witness News" segment during Tuesday night's show to expose people who claimed to be big fans of the U.S. soccer team as fakes.
Kimmel's crew went out on Hollywood Boulevard to find alleged fans of Team USA to ask them about Landon Donovan's performance so far. Naturally, true soccer fans would know that Donovan was cut from the USMNT back in May before the World Cup even started, which made it easy to catch the fans who were lying. People would rather play along and make things up than admit that they didn't watch the World Cup, which makes this segment hilarious to watch.
