Tampa Bay Lightning honor Martin St. Louis with video tribute (Video)

The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Martin St. Louis with a video tribute as he returned to his former home arena for the first time since being traded to the New York Rangers back in March. St. Louis played for the Lightning for over 13 seasons, helping the team win a Stanley Cup in 2004.

The video tribute, featuring highlights of St. Louis' career with the Lightning, played on the arena scoreboard during a timeout with 11:11 remaining in the first period. Although it was unclear heading into the game how the Lightning fans would react given the way he forced his way out of town, the fans in attendance cheered St. Louis with a loud round of applause. St. Louis skated out onto the ice to acknowledge the crowd and was genuinely moved.
