Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson made a clutch save as his mask was falling off during the first period of Wednesday night's game against Tampa Bay.
Gibson actually had his mask accidentally knocked off by teammate Ben Lovejoy as a shot was coming at him, and the puck hit him in the mask as it was coming off. That's scary when you realize that had Gibson's mask fallen off a split second earlier, he would have been hit square in the face.
As of this writing, Gibson has stopped all eight shots he has faced as the Ducks lead the Lightning 1-0.
